Every person carries unseen stories of love, pain, and longing. A reflection on how small conversations can reveal the hidden lives behind ordinary faces.
This is a lovely read, Tim. And so true! It’s so easy to feel completely isolated in your experiences, so reading or hearing another’s history can certainly help you to feel less alone and perhaps even give a slightly different angle to consider things from. I’ve often found it helpful for getting myself unstuck from a problem that I’ve been going around in circles with.
Great to have you here Jayne and I hope you also start sharing some of your stories here 🤗 I know… it's not the first time I say this…
Guess we start early with those stories.. as a young boy I loved various TV series and wanted to be like my heros… and of course those stories only worked because they had all the ups and downs…
Now I am not young boy anymore, but real stories are often not that much different from what I have seen in TV… and cars actually can speak with you now…
Glad it resonated with you Bridget. The benches at the lake had some magic. There was another person telling me his life story… could hardly believe it back then. Back home I did research and found out it was all real.
Or maybe it was the lake that somehow calms people down and then let them open up.
In ancient stories waters, likes lakes and rivers are often used as symbols for what's under the surface… the unconscious so to say.
What a beautiful story and an amazing article, Tim! I remained staring at the screen long after I finished reading it. Thinking about two moments in life that will not come back and will never be taken away from me.
And right now, I feel that maybe not everything in life is a lesson for us to learn. Maybe we experience these very important moments to simply, deeply, truly live.
I know exactly what you mean, Andriana. It’s like those moments help to draw your attention to certain events in your life so you can reflect on them and savour them all over again. I think they prompt feelings of gratitude and rebalance us.

That’s a quiet but somehow intense article. Like being carried away by looking at a tranquil lake.
Thank you for sharing this moment!

I hope it makes sense.

Yes, makes sense. Without stories I think we would just be robots.
And sometimes those stories are so powerful that they can be the light when we are in very dark places. Other times they can be the light for others.
True...
