I don't know why- and it doesn't matter why... but what you wrote dripped deeply and was absorbed like drops of rain on dry land. It moved and revived me.
I want to live. Like a squirrel.
To stop wondering what I deserve, if I deserve or how.
I want to feel everything and just live. Really, fully live.
Thank you for writing Notes to Myself again. My Tuesday evenings will have sunlight instead of stars once more🌹🌞
Yep sometimes we can learn so much from nature. There is also this spiritual animal thing… if I am not wrong it’s called totem. Can be quite interesting what an animal you like the most, or that often or suddenly appears in your life and shows again and again can stand for…
I feel my guiding spiritual animal is the wolf and my protector is the bear. Haven't met either. But I feel they are part of me or that I'm part of them.
I love cats and dogs and swans. I'm curious to see squirrels, the way you write about them make me believe that I could watch them for hours
I believe in totemic animal guides. Quite often, when my spirits are in need of an uplift, a small - pale colored moth appears in places that only I can see it. This always boosts my mood - and maybe those I come across too. 😊
Healing can happen in fits and starts, through big realizations, through incremental changes, tiny tweaks, or all of it at different times. Sometimes, as you point out, you don't even realize that you are growing and healing. It is like your hair growing--you don't notice it until one day you DESPERATELY need a haircut.
I only had more or less instant healing for physical problem.
Once went to an ear doctor as it felt something was in my ear. Had that for 2 weeks and it almost made me crazy.
Doctor said all was fine after checking ear and do hearing test.
But… she continued… when you jumped in the water you chin got a “hit” and that made the cartilage on the upper jaw swell… which gave pressure on your ear channel… and that's what's causing you trouble…
Well I went back home… and when I closed the door behind my ear problems were gone… as if they never existed.
For all the other things… healing worked gradually… and the less I watched the better it worked…

Yes, a Totem.
Guess my totems are squirrels, dogs, pigeons, tits and japanese crows

Oooh a moth that's something extraordinary. Guess mine is a squirrel. But I would be in trouble if it were a mosquito.
...and my burden ist Light.
That's a beautiful uplifting note, waiting for more!

Or maybe that is just me.
