Tim, very interesting and helpful to find ways to become more in-tune with your body. Thank you, I enjoy your posts. I do deep breathing to stimulate the vagus nerve and activate the body's relaxation response as it helps me fall asleep. I love certain music, walks in nature and sometimes silence really helps calm my nerves and allows me to recharge.

Thank you for your comments. Sounds very much like you feel what these activities do with your body. Seems it works pretty well for you and that healing forces are active.

I am currently working on this. Vedic- transcendental - meditation- has helped tremendously to calm my nervous system and heal my brain. I recently discovered that a deep foot massage activates the parasympathetic nervous system - which is really healing. ❤️‍🩹 Thank you for this information.

Foot massage is very popular in Asia. I tried it but have very ticklish feet.

Glad it worked for you. 🤗

I saw myself in what you described, and I'm sure many people will do the same.

I haven't traveled, and haven't tried any of the other methods...but with the music you got me completely. I agree, it's not only about dancing ( which, for some, is a form of liberation), it's also about feeling whatever surfaces, and staying with it until you understand. And, for now, I know the prison of meditating alone in the house, and the lack of nature makes walking a mere exercise. But one day, I will "meet" nature.

Meanwhile, with music, learning from reading amazing writings like yours, trusting the process, and connecting with wonderful people is slowly making me rise.

Thank you for your lovely feedback.

There are so many methods that can work. I discovered music quite late and was suprised who deep it lets me dive in there and then sometimes old memories came to the surface. There is even tunes that mix in binaural beats and other patterns that can stimulate the brain. Tried that too, and it does something for me even if it might be just placebo effect.

Yes, as you said, every person will find their own method or combination of methods. A friend told me about binaural beats, and it's really a thing!
