“Most of my life, I defined myself through my achievements and skills. Beyond that, I had no idea what my value as a human being was, or who I was deep down inside.” This quote touched me deeply! It summed up my existence before I left nursing. Your article is very good, thank you.
Thank you for these words. I’m in the void now and feel really uncomfortable and impatient. I have been resting though and it does feel good. Appreciate the hope you gave me.
I've only read a couple of your posts so far and I am godsmacked each time with how parallel our lives seem to have been. Resting was also incredibly hard for me to do. Now, I teach others how to rest so they can be self-aware enough to find the answers they crave. This was a great read and I felt like that void was a bunch of nothingness but it turns out it was exactly what I needed to re-ignite my creativity.
Sometimes I think we are not as individual as we may think. And that instead of having similar starting points in childhood lets you go through similar patterns.
The is probably a reason why the hero journey is so present and why several stories of ancient books seem to repeat over and over again.
Maybe it is just so many ways and experiences we can make in what we call life...
Love it!! So beautifully written, I could "see" you resting, walking in the void and then filling it with whatever you wanted. Finding your core self... it's not easy at all but in the end is magic

Doing so much better!

Yes can be magic... at least in hindsight 😅
